Ukrainian defender Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk is reportedly the leading candidate for a trade from the Utah Jazz in the near future, according to Sports Illustrated.
The Jazz plan to allocate significant playing time to Darrin Peterson, Ace Bailey, Bryce Sensabaugh, as well as new additions Josh Okogie and Josh Green, who all cover the shooting guard and small forward positions that Mykhailiuk also occupies. This development leaves limited opportunities for the Ukrainian to secure substantial minutes on the court.
Mykhailiuk’s contract, which carries a $3 million annual salary, does not heavily impact Utah’s payroll. However, the front office may consider trading him to a team lacking depth at his position in exchange for valuable assets.
