Washington Wizards and center Anthony Davis have postponed contract extension talks until 2027, insider Shams Charania reports.
Davis is eligible for a four-year extension worth $275 million, but both the player and the club prefer to first evaluate the team’s prospects before committing to a long-term deal.
Previously, the 10-time NBA All-Star Davis was mentioned among potential trade candidates. LeBron James, who played alongside him at the Los Angeles Lakers, expressed interest in having Davis join his new team.
