Ahead of the UEFA Super Cup clash in Salzburg, Aston Villa’s head coach Unai Emery revealed significant squad issues. The Birmingham side will face PSG without goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, defender Ezri Konsa, and forward Ollie Watkins. The Spanish coach opted to rest his key players following a long and demanding season.

“They are not with us because they finished their previous season on July 19. I gave them four weeks off, which was absolutely necessary,” Emery told the media.
