Sabah delivered a commanding comeback in the second leg of the third qualifying round. After falling 1-2 in the first match, the home side overwhelmed Aarhus with a 4-0 victory.
The tie was decided in the second half. Vladimir Shimić broke the deadlock in the 59th minute, followed by Solve’s second goal in the 67th minute. Mikkels extended the Azerbaijani team’s lead to three goals in the 78th minute. Finally, Severina sealed the emphatic win with a goal in the 89th minute.
With this result, Sabah advanced to the qualifying playoff round, while Aarhus will continue their campaign in the Europa League qualifying playoff round.
