Florian Wirtz, the midfielder for Liverpool, has shared his thoughts on working with the club’s new head coach, Andoni Iraola. The German international has already had detailed discussions with the manager about his role on the pitch. Wirtz openly admitted that he feels most comfortable playing as a number ten, although he is capable of operating in other positions if needed.
“It is in the number ten role that I play my best football. We have had many conversations about where I should be positioned on the field, and I am very excited to work under his guidance. For me, it is important to play where I can contribute the most to the team,” Wirtz told the club’s media.
