Manchester City has accepted Barcelona‘s offer of €76.5 million (£65.3 million) to acquire midfielder Rodri.

According to The Athletic, City will immediately receive €60 million of the total fee, with the remainder structured as bonuses, over €11 million of which are expected to be easily attainable. Given that Rodri has less than 12 months left on his contract, City realistically anticipates earning at least €71.5 million from the transfer.

Finalizing the personal terms appears to be a formality, as Rodri already holds a four-year contract offer from Barcelona. Previously, the 30-year-old Spain international had been weighing options between Real Madrid and a new deal with City. After seven seasons at Manchester City, he is set to depart the club.

During his time at City, the former Atletico Madrid midfielder secured four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, three League Cups, and a UEFA Champions League trophy.
