Barcelona‘s backup target, Luis Suarez from Sporting, may also slip away from the Catalan club. The Colombian forward was being considered as a replacement for Julian Alvarez, whose transfer is falling through.
On Friday, Fabrizio Romano reported that Barcelona had added Suarez to their list of targets.
However, shortly after, Romano revealed that Sporting has no intention of selling their striker, viewing him as a key player for the team.
The Lisbon club has responded to all transfer inquiries by stating that a move would only be possible if the €80 million release clause specified in Suarez’s contract is met.
