Today, August 9, Chelsea played a friendly match in Malaysia against the local team Darul Takzim as part of their preseason preparations.

Unlike in the previous two matches, Chelsea’s head coach Xabi Alonso did not field Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk, not even as a substitute.

It is worth noting that in the earlier friendlies against Juventus (0-1) and Milan (3-0), Mudryk was brought on shortly before the final whistle.

Chelsea and Darul Takzim ended the match in a 3-3 draw. Dileep scored twice for the London side, while the Malaysian team also conceded an own goal.
