Cristiano Ronaldo is set to tie the knot in what promises to be one of the biggest weddings in the world of sports. The football legend and his fiancée, model Georgina Rodriguez, will officially formalize their relationship.
The lavish wedding ceremony will take place this coming weekend on Ronaldo’s native island of Madeira.
The nuptials are scheduled to be held at the main church in Funchal. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests will head to a five-star hotel to celebrate this momentous occasion.
To ensure privacy and security for the event, the hotel management has informed other guests in advance that two floors of the complex and several bar areas will be completely closed off to outsiders on Friday and Saturday.
It is worth noting that Funchal is Ronaldo’s birthplace, adding a special symbolic significance to the wedding ceremony.
Ronaldo and Georgina have been together since 2016 and are raising five children. The Portuguese footballer officially proposed to his partner only in 2025.
