Roberto De Zerbi, the former Shakhtar coach and current Tottenham manager, expressed strong emotions following the lifting of the suspension for Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk.
“He is like a son to me. He’s a great guy and a top-level player. I hope this season he can finally show everything he was prevented from showing over the past two years—just not against Tottenham,” said the Italian coach. “He’s a wonderful person.”
De Zerbi also emphasized that Mudryk now has the opportunity to prove his quality on the pitch.
It is worth noting that Mykhailo will join Chelsea’s preseason tour in Hong Kong as part of preparations for the upcoming season.
