Following France’s victory over Norway, the national team’s head coach, Didier Deschamps, set a new record for the most wins in FIFA World Cup history. Deschamps surpassed Helmut Schön’s previous record for the number of World Cup victories.
The win against Norway marked Deschamps’ 17th triumph at the World Cup, putting him one ahead of the legendary Schön, who dominated the tournament during the 1960s and 1970s with West Germany.
Also among the top three is Luiz Felipe Scolari. The Brazilian coach has secured 13 wins in World Cup matches.
