Diego Simeone, the head coach of Atlético Madrid, has firmly stated that the club will not sell forward Julián Álvarez to Barcelona or any other team during this transfer window.
“The situation is crystal clear, and the club has made a definitive decision. From a sporting perspective, we are delighted to have a player of his caliber. We have no intention of selling him and will not entertain offers of 150 or 200 million euros. Our focus is on helping him continue to develop and perform at his best. I see no alternative but to concentrate on the game and support him, just as we have done over the past two years,” the coach said, according to the club’s press service.
