Footage captured by a fan camera from the stands revealed the beginning of the confrontation. The Hungarian captain unexpectedly struck Viktor Tsyhankov before quickly fleeing the scene.

It is likely that UEFA will now review the incident, and Szoboszlai faces potential disciplinary action.

Hungary’s next fixture is scheduled against Georgia.
