Dusan Vlahovic Bids Farewell to Juventus Following Besiktas Transfer
Dušan Vlahović, the former Juventus striker, has bid farewell to the club following his transfer to Beşiktaş. The highest-paid player in Serie A left Turin after his contract expired.
“There are moments when finding the right words is difficult. This is one of those moments,” Vlahović wrote on Instagram.
“When I arrived in Turin, I had a huge dream, a strong desire to prove who I am, and pride in wearing a jersey that carries an incredible history.
My journey at Juventus has come to an end. These were intense years—years of victories, goals, immense joy, but also challenging times. Yet, I always gave my all every time I stepped onto the pitch.
Because wearing this jersey means carrying the history of Italian football on your shoulders, and for that, I will always be grateful.
I want to thank Juventus, Andrea Agnelli, John Elkann and his entire family, all the people working behind the scenes every day, my coaches, and especially my teammates. We shared much more than just 90 minutes on the football field. Some moments will stay with me for life.
Thank you to Turin, the city that welcomed me and became my home. I grew here not only as a footballer but above all as a man.
And finally, thank you to the Juventus fans. Every chant, every child wearing my shirt, every celebration, every embrace after a goal—these images I will carry with me wherever I go.
In football, paths change, but what we experienced never disappears. I leave Turin with many memories, a sense of gratitude, and the knowledge that I left a part of myself here.
I came with the desire to be part of Juventus’ history. I leave knowing that Juventus will forever be part of my story,” Dušan concluded.
Over 4.5 seasons in Turin, the Serbian forward appeared in 168 matches, scoring 68 goals and providing 16 assists.
