According to Sky Sport Italia, the loan move of goalkeeper Zion Suzuki to Juventus may not go through. It was expected that the player would transfer from Parma to Paris Saint-Germain, with PSG then sending their new signing on a one-year loan to Turin.
The deal appeared inevitable, but transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio from Sky Sport Italia reports that negotiations between the clubs have suddenly stalled. Meanwhile, L’Equipe claims that Suzuki could become PSG’s first-choice goalkeeper this season, which might lead to Lucas Chevalier leaving the club.
This unexpected development has forced Juventus to prepare a “Plan B” and start searching for an alternative goalkeeper. The alternative involves another loan deal, this time targeting Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
The reason Juventus prefers to take goalkeepers on loan is that the club is waiting for Alisson Becker to become a free agent after his contract with Liverpool expires in June 2027. Therefore, any goalkeeper arriving at Juventus is considered a temporary solution.
