Fiorentina Dismiss Fabio Grosso After Three Serie A Defeats
Fiorentina has dismissed their head coach Fabio Grosso following defeats in their opening three Serie A matches and strained relations between the coach and the club’s director, Fabio Paratici.
Grosso was appointed as Fiorentina’s manager only this summer after several impressive seasons at Sassuolo and was backed with a significant transfer budget. However, aside from a 4-1 victory over Benevento in the Coppa Italia, the team’s performances have been disappointing. Fiorentina currently sit at the bottom of the league table, having lost to Torino, Frosinone, and Roma by a combined score of 1-9.
This marks the second consecutive season in which the Tuscan club has parted ways with their manager within the first few weeks of the campaign. Last year, Stefano Pioli was also sacked in November 2025 after 14 official matches.
It remains unclear who will take over from Grosso, but the search is underway ahead of Fiorentina’s trip to Venice on Friday, 11 September.
