Harry Kane appeared uncharacteristically subdued in England’s goalless draw against Ghana. This lack of impact may well explain why the Three Lions struggled to break down Ghana’s resolute defensive setup.
According to Opta, Kane registered just 19 touches throughout the entire match. This is an exceptionally low figure for a striker of his caliber and, more notably, marks the fewest touches he has recorded in any full 90-minute appearance for England at the international level.
Kane had a chance to redeem himself in the second half when presented with a near-certain scoring opportunity, but he failed to convert. Clearly, it was not Kane’s night.
