Betis Offers Roma Loan Deal with Option to Buy for Artem Dovbyk
According to reputable Italian insider Nicolo Schira, Spanish club Real Betis has proposed a loan deal to Roma for the Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbik, including an option to buy. Betis, aiming to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season, view Dovbik as an experienced forward who can add sharpness in the final third.
It is worth noting that the upcoming season holds special significance for Betis. The team secured a strong 5th place finish in La Liga, earning a spot in the Champions League, and clearly requires reinforcements to compete at that level.
Artem Dovbik joined Roma in the summer of 2024, but his adaptation to Serie A has been challenging due to injuries and stiff competition for places. The Ukrainian striker’s season was underwhelming, which has sparked interest from Spanish clubs. Earlier reports also linked him with Villarreal, while there appears to be an option involving Ajax as well, with the Amsterdam club reportedly having made an official offer.
