Inter Retain Henrikh Mkhitaryan as Sole Veteran with New One-Year Deal
Inter Milan has officially confirmed that 37-year-old midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has signed a new one-year contract.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder remains at the club amid a significant squad overhaul. On Tuesday, the Nerazzurri announced the departures of four key players whose contracts had expired: Yann Sommer, Stefan de Vrij, Francesco Acerbi, and Matteo Darmian.
Mkhitaryan’s base salary for the upcoming season at San Siro will be around €2 million. This marks a notable reduction from the €3.8 million base salary he was reportedly earning under his previous contract, which he signed during his time at Arsenal and Manchester United.
