According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has reached an agreement on personal terms with Pep Chavarría. The left-back from Rayo Vallecano has agreed to join the London club.
Negotiations between the Spanish side and the English club are still ongoing.
Rayo Vallecano prepared for the transfer by extending Chavarría’s contract until 2030. The current buyout clause stands at around 50 million euros.
Bayer Leverkusen is also interested in the defender, but it is unlikely they can meet Rayo’s financial demands.
