Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang suffered a right meniscus injury during the match against Betis and will be sidelined for Deportivo in the upcoming fixtures. The 37-year-old striker is expected to be out of action for approximately two months.
Aubameyang had a strong start to the season, quickly establishing himself as one of Deportivo’s key players. The Gabon international scored in five consecutive rounds and also contributed two assists.
The surgery is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, with the player anticipated to be discharged from the hospital on the same day.
Deportivo has not yet provided an official timeline for Aubameyang’s recovery, but preliminary assessments suggest the forward could return to competitive matches in about two months.
