Jádson, the former Brazilian footballer of Shakhtar Donetsk, has announced that he will not participate in the farewell match for his compatriot Vágner Love, scheduled to take place in Moscow. He explained his decision by stating:

“I will not attend the match to which my friend Vágner Love invited me. I understand that out of respect for the Ukrainian people and the club I love—Shakhtar—I should not go. Vágner Love is a great friend, but I realize the situation is much more delicate now.”

Jádson played for Shakhtar for seven years from 2005 to 2012. He is remembered for scoring the decisive goal in the UEFA Cup final against Werder Bremen, a historic moment for the Donetsk club. Now 42 years old, Jádson has ended his football career in his home country.
