João Félix: Only Coach Martinez Can Decide Portugal’s Future
Portugal’s forward João Félix addressed the media ahead of the Round of 16 clash against Croatia, firmly dismissing the criticism aimed at coach Roberto Martínez. The Portuguese attacker emphasized that the team remains completely unaffected by the noise surrounding the manager’s decisions.
“The only person we need to listen to is the coach. What matters is what he says and what he thinks. Everything else being said around us is better off ignored,” Félix stated.
He also revealed that the key to his current form lies in returning to his familiar position on the pitch under Jorge Jesus at Al-Nassr. When asked about his personal ambitions for the World Cup, João responded with a philosophical outlook: “Scoring goals is always enjoyable. But if we win the trophy and I don’t score a single goal, I would sign up for that scenario without hesitation.”
