Jurgen Klopp Declines to Discuss Germany National Team Coaching Speculation
Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has addressed rumors linking him to a potential return to coaching following Germany’s early exit from the 2026 World Cup.
“I haven’t given it any thought yet. I understand my name is being mentioned, but now is not the time to discuss it,” Klopp told MagentaTV in an interview.
Current Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann, after the disastrous loss to Paraguay, stated he has no intention of resigning under any circumstances. However, public opinion in Germany is largely against him, and his leadership style along with his communication with both the team and the media has not won him many supporters. Even before the World Cup began, there was widespread speculation that he would be dismissed regardless of the tournament’s outcome, with Klopp considered as a potential replacement.
