According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal has initiated contact with representatives of Bradley Barcola as they continue to explore options to strengthen their left flank.
The 23-year-old winger is keen to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, with Liverpool currently leading the race for the French forward. The Reds have already engaged in preliminary talks with PSG, discussing the potential offer they might make for Barcola. They are now considering submitting a formal bid.
PSG remain firm on their valuation, insisting that €150 million is a fair price for a player of Barcola’s caliber.
If completed, this transfer would set a new British record, surpassing the one Liverpool themselves established last summer. In theory, they could break their own record again, but it is still unclear whether they are prepared to commit to such a figure.
Sources within Liverpool have denied reports of reaching a principled agreement, while PSG have also made it clear that no firm offer has been received for the winger so far.
At this stage, Liverpool has done the most groundwork and remains the frontrunner, but Arsenal’s involvement ensures that the competition for Barcola will be far from straightforward.
