Italian full-back Marco Palestra is set to travel to London for a medical examination ahead of signing with Chelsea. According to reports, the former Atalanta player will commit to a long-term contract lasting six years with the Blues.
Chelsea secured the promising talent at the last moment, outmaneuvering Inter, who had been keen to acquire the rising star as a gift for their coach following their championship triumph. However, Chelsea swiftly met Atalanta’s financial demands and presented Palestra with an attractive personal deal. Last season, the defender spent time on loan at Cagliari, where he earned recognition as the best defensive player in Serie A.
