Marseille Parts Ways with Habib Beye; Bruno Genesio Appointed Head Coach
The partnership between Marseille and Habib Beye has officially come to an end. The Provence-based club announced the departure of the 48-year-old coach just four months after his appointment. Beye took charge of Marseille on February 18, but the management decided to terminate the collaboration prematurely.
Marseille’s press office expressed gratitude to the coach and wished him success in his future endeavors. The vacant position will not remain open for long. It has already been confirmed that Beye’s successor at the helm of the Provence club will be Bruno Génésio, the former manager of Lyon and Rennes. The southern side is hopeful that the experienced coach will steer the team back onto a winning path.
