Massimo Allegri has been appointed as the new head coach of Napoli, signing a contract that runs until 2029.
The club and Allegri agreed on an annual salary of 4.5 million euros.
This is not Allegri’s first association with Napoli, as he played for the Partenopei during the 1997/98 season. Now, he takes on the coaching role following a disappointing year at Milan, where he finished the league in fifth place.
It is worth recalling that Napoli was previously managed by Antonio Conte, who secured both a Scudetto and a runner-up finish with the team over two years.
