In addition to their victory over the Netherlands in the Round of 16, Morocco left a notable statistical mark on the World Cup.
During the match against the Dutch, Morocco became only the second team in World Cup history to complete more than 800 passes.
Previously, only Spain had reached this milestone.
It is worth recalling that Morocco equalized in the first minute of added time when Diop responded to Gakpo’s goal. The win was ultimately secured in the penalty shootout.
