Comments Off on Norway Falls to Wales as Haaland’s Scoring Streak Ends in Nations League

Norway suffered a defeat against Wales, with Erling Haaland‘s seven-match scoring streak coming to an end. The Vikings started the game strongly: Martin Ødegaard delivered a precise pass to Jamal Bhatti Bobb, who skillfully outmaneuvered the goalkeeper to open the scoring. However, the Welsh side leveled the score before halftime thanks to a clinical finish from Daniel James.

The second half turned disastrous for the visitors. Kristoffer Heggem was shown a straight red card for a last-man foul, leaving Norway down to ten men. Soon after, Nico Williams converted a free kick to put Wales ahead. Only some crucial saves from Rune Jarstein Nyland kept the Vikings from suffering a heavier defeat.
