Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus cut short his pre-match press conference ahead of the UEFA Nations League clash against Norway due to persistent questions about Cristiano Ronaldo. The striker controversially left the squad after sitting out two games on the bench.

“Have I spoken to CR7? I won’t say anything to you. He is a symbol of our national team and all of Portugal. We will discuss this after the game. Let me focus on Norway, one of the strongest opponents in Europe. That is our main concern right now,” Jesus stated.

Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes also hailed CR7 as the greatest symbol of the nation, while those close to the 41-year-old forward hint at the possibility that this may mark the end of his international career.
