Austria’s head coach Ralf Rangnick shared his expectations ahead of the second group stage match against Argentina at the World Cup during a pre-match press conference.
“We need to prove that we are one of the best teams in this World Cup. That means playing at a very high tactical level, and in terms of energy and courage, we must be at our absolute peak. It may require us to deliver the best performance we have ever had during my time in charge,” Rangnick told Reuters.
On June 22 at 17:00 UTC, Austria will face Argentina in their second match of the 2026 World Cup. The game will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, USA. Rangnick has been leading the Austrian national team since 2022.
