Real Madrid Registers Jan Diomande in La Liga First Team Squad
Real Madrid officially registered their final summer signing, Yan Diomande, as a first-team player in La Liga on August 13.
The 19-year-old winger joined the Madrid club from RB Leipzig for a fee of €140 million, including bonuses, making him the most expensive signing in the history of the Los Blancos.
Despite being eligible to register Diomande with the Castilla squad in the Primera Federación due to his age, Real Madrid opted not to do so. Current regulations allow players under 23 to be registered with the reserve team.
This contrasts with the club’s approach last year with Franco Mastantuono, when they utilized the rule to register him with Castilla. However, this time, the club chose not to apply that option for Diomande.
With Diomande’s registration, Real Madrid have now officially registered all their summer signings: Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konaté, Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Carlos Estevez, and the aforementioned Yan Diomande.
This also means that the full 25-player quota for the first team is now occupied, alongside Tiago Pitarque, who remains registered with the reserve team.
Therefore, if Real Madrid intend to bring in another player, they will need to free up a spot by transferring or releasing one of the current squad members.
