The first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying round between Dynamo Kyiv and Universitatea Cluj is set to take place on July 9.
In Romania, confidence in Universitatea Cluj’s chances against Dynamo Kyiv appears low. Local commentator Bogdan Cosmescu expressed a bleak outlook for the Romanian side’s prospects in this tie.
“Goodbye, Europa Conference League! They can’t get past Dynamo—what are we even talking about? It’s pointless; football doesn’t turn upside down like that. Why would you beat them? What are you hoping for? In my opinion, you have no chance, and against PAOK, you have absolutely no chance. What are we even discussing? Zero chance.”
To recall, the opening match between Dynamo and Universitatea will be held on July 9 at Arena Lublin in Poland. Kickoff is scheduled for 17:00 UTC.
