Journalist Mikhail Spivakovsky reports that forward Artem Stepanov has caught the attention of Shakhtar Donetsk. Currently on loan at Utrecht from Bayer, the Ukrainian striker is the top scorer for his team.
“Artem Stepanov attended the Shakhtar U-19 match against PSV in the UEFA Youth League. Some of my foreign sources have even mentioned that a meeting between Stepanov and Shakhtar representatives was expected to take place there.
Shakhtar, as I understand it, is in contact with Artem in one way or another,” Spivakovsky revealed.
It is worth recalling that Stepanov is a product of the Shakhtar academy. Additionally, the player sustained an injury in yesterday’s match for Utrecht, which will sideline him for the upcoming fixtures with the Ukraine national team.
