Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming friendly against Inter Milan. The match, part of the preparations for the new Serie A season, is scheduled for Saturday.
“Games like this are crucial for understanding a lot about the team’s mentality and whether we are moving in the right direction. Clearly, Inter is a very strong side, much like Chelsea, so we will need to operate as a cohesive unit at every stage of the game. If we don’t maintain compactness, Inter will gain the upper hand.
I believe we have signed players who will prove their worth. It doesn’t matter who scores 20 goals. This season will be characterized by matches taking place on Thursdays and Sundays, which means it will be challenging to rely on the same players all the time.
Even without a traditional central striker, we have Ekater, who possesses some of those qualities, and Kolo Muani, who dominates in the penalty area. The situation is somewhat uncertain, but with the players we have and our transfer market activity, we can compensate through the collective effort of the entire squad,” the Juventus coach explained.
