England head coach Thomas Tuchel shared his thoughts on the emphatic 7-0 victory over Croatia during an interview with ITV.
“It was a 90-minute performance of the highest caliber from every player. From the first to the last minute, both the starting lineup and the substitutes gave their all. I congratulate the team. Achieving this on the road was truly impressive.
We created so many chances! The first 40 minutes were played with great ease and freedom. I remember glancing at the clock, thinking only three excellent minutes had passed, then looking again—it was already seven, and we never slowed down. We maintained the pace, found open spaces, and executed our opportunities brilliantly. I was pleased with the mentality: the players were disciplined and handed the opponent a complete defeat.”
