Tottenham Draws 2-2 with Hoffenheim in Second Pre-Season Friendly
Tottenham Hotspur continued their pre-season preparations for the upcoming Premier League campaign by facing off against the fifth-placed team from last season’s Bundesliga, Hoffenheim, in their second friendly match.
While Roberto De Zerbi‘s side had secured a commanding 3-0 victory over the same opponents just a day earlier, this encounter proved to be far more competitive as the German club showed greater resilience.
The visitors took the lead early on, with Glozek scoring in the 16th minute to put Hoffenheim ahead. However, before the break, Tottenham responded strongly with goals from Davis in the 20th minute and Williams-Barnett in stoppage time of the first half (45+2), turning the score to 2-1 in their favor.
The match’s final moments saw Hoffenheim equalize shortly after the interval when Zhandre found the net in the 55th minute, bringing the game to a 2-2 draw.
Looking ahead, Tottenham will kick off their Premier League season on August 22 with an away fixture against Brentford.
