UEFA Fines Juventus €20 Million and Fiorentina €6 Million for Financial Violations
Italian clubs have faced severe UEFA sanctions for breaching financial fair play regulations following the recent European club season. Juventus was hit hardest after exceeding the cumulative deficit limit of €60 million over the past three years. The Bianconeri agreed to a three-year settlement and were fined €20 million, with €14 million of that amount suspended. Should Juventus fail to comply with the rules going forward, they risk transfer bans and exclusion from European competitions.
Fiorentina received a €6 million fine for surpassing the squad expenditure limit. In total, 14 clubs were sanctioned by UEFA, including Chelsea, Newcastle, and Aston Villa.
