The Billie Jean King Cup national team finals will take place from September 22 to 27 on the courts of Shenzhen.
Eight teams will compete: seven qualifiers—Ukraine, Belgium, Italy, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Spain, and Great Britain—alongside the host nation, China. This marks Ukraine‘s second appearance in the final stage of the Cup. Last year, the Ukrainian team reached the semifinals but fell to Italy with a 1-2 scoreline.
The Ukrainian squad features Elina Svitolina, Angelina Kalinina, Katarina Zavatska, and Ludmila Kichenok, with Ilya Marchenko serving as team captain.
Each Billie Jean King Cup tie consists of three matches: two singles and one doubles. The team that wins the majority of these matches advances to the next round. Ukraine will begin its campaign on September 24 in the quarterfinals against Belgium.
