Ukraine Secures Gold and Four Medals, Finishes 11th at European Athletics Championships

The European Athletics Championships concluded in Birmingham, England, with the Ukraine national team returning home with four medals.

Yaroslava Mahuchikh secured the gold medal in the high jump, marking her third consecutive European title in this event. Meanwhile, Oleh Doroshchuk earned the silver medal in the men’s high jump.

Bronze medals were claimed by Mykhailo Kokhan in the hammer throw and Liudmyla Olyanovska in the half marathon racewalking event.

These achievements placed Ukraine 11th in the overall medal standings. The top nation was Italy, which amassed 22 medals: 10 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze. Great Britain finished second, followed by Germany in third.
