Alexander Yashvili, the Vice-President of the Georgian Football Federation, spoke ahead of the Nations League match against Ukraine regarding the recent change in the national team’s head coach. As a reminder, Ramaz Svanadze will take charge of the team in the upcoming game against the “yellow-blues,” replacing Villy Sagnol.
“We are very grateful to Villy Sagnol for his work. He was the first coach to lead the Georgian national team to the European Championship and then to the playoff stage. He contributed immensely to the progress of our team.
We were confident that Ramaz Svanadze would eventually become the head coach of the national team. He guided our youth team to the European Championship and has extensive experience working with young players. Importantly, he is not here just for a few matches. We believe we will qualify for the European Championship again!” Yashvili told Sportall.ge.
