France head coach Zinedine Zidane shared his thoughts with UEFA following his team’s 1-1 draw against Italy in the UEFA Nations League. The match ended in a tense stalemate.

“The game was intense, and I’m pleased with my team’s performance and what I witnessed on the pitch. Naturally, the result is somewhat disappointing because we probably deserved a bit more, but overall, I’m very satisfied with what we achieved.

I believe we deserved more tonight, especially before they scored. After that goal, there were some fluctuations, but up until that point, we definitely had chances to score a second goal.

This kind of performance from France gives hope, especially considering what we have already accomplished. It’s very important to continue doing things the right way. I think I can be very proud of my team,” the coach concluded.
