Desire Doué, the forward for the France national team, reflected on yesterday’s home clash against Italy in the UEFA Nations League, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
“Of course, we’re a bit disappointed with the result. We really wanted to win tonight at the Stade de France in front of our fans. However, we won’t overlook the positive aspects of our performance today. We did some really good things.
We largely followed the coach’s instructions, so we need to keep going in the same spirit. We’re on the right path, as he said in the dressing room. We’ll continue like this, and on Monday we have another game where we can secure a victory,” the player told TF1 in an interview.
Looking ahead, France will host Belgium in a UEFA Nations League match on October 5.
