Mike James, guard for Anadolu Efes, will be sidelined for 7 to 9 months following surgery on his Achilles tendon.
James sustained the injury during the third round of the EuroLeague in a game against Crvena Zvezda. The incident occurred in a non-contact situation late in the third quarter. Initially, the club hoped the Achilles was not ruptured, but unfortunately, the worst-case diagnosis was confirmed.
Before the injury, James had been averaging 15 points, 4 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 1 steal in the opening games of the regular season.
