Detroit Pistons Trade Isaiah Stewart to Memphis Grizzlies for Future Picks
The Detroit Pistons have agreed to trade big man Isaiah Stewart to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for three future second-round draft picks, according to sources cited by ESPN.
This move will allow the Pistons to clear salary cap space while acquiring additional assets for potential future deals.
Stewart spent his entire career with the Pistons from 2020 through 2026, having been selected by Detroit as the 16th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. During his tenure, he experienced the team’s struggles at the bottom of the league standings but also contributed to their success last season when Detroit clinched the top spot in the Eastern Conference regular season.
Over 365 games with the franchise, including 194 starts, Stewart averaged 8.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game, playing roughly 24 minutes each outing.
Known for his fiery temperament, Stewart has accumulated 48 technical fouls and several ejections throughout his career.
