Point guard D’Angelo Russell has signed a contract with the Chinese club Shanghai Sharks for the 2026/27 season.
Russell entered free agency after being waived by the Memphis Grizzlies last week.
A 2019 NBA All-Star, Russell averaged 10.2 points, 4.0 assists, and 2.3 rebounds last season while playing for the Dallas Mavericks. This move will mark his first professional experience outside the NBA.
