José Alvarado will remain with the New Orleans Pelicans.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the basketball player declined his $4.5 million player option and intends to sign a new three-year deal worth over $14 million.
Alvarado joined the team at the trade deadline in February. During the playoffs, he averaged 4.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.6 steals in 10 minutes per game.
José is a native of New York City. He attended Christ the King Regional High School, located in Queens, one of the city’s boroughs.
