FIBA has released its updated strength rankings for national basketball teams ahead of the upcoming qualifying window for the 2027 World Cup.
The Ukraine national team has climbed two spots to now hold the 10th position in the rankings.
According to FIBA’s official website, “Offense should not be an issue for Ukraine, considering that Oleksandr Kovliar and Sviat Mykhaliuk have already been performing brilliantly in qualification. This time, the squad also includes Alex Len, who has not been part of the national team since August 2022, meaning they should be regarded as an improved team in this window.”
Teams ranked above the “Blue and Yellow” include Turkey, Serbia, France, Poland, Germany, Croatia, Spain, Italy, and Finland.
The biggest drop was suffered by the Lithuania national team, which fell three places to now occupy only 12th in the rankings.
