Brazil national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti reflected on the intense Round of 16 clash against Japan, which ended 2-1 in favor of the five-time world champions. Despite a challenging first half, Brazil managed to turn the game around and secure their place in the next stage, a feat that clearly delighted the Italian coach.
“This was our most complete and cohesive performance since the tournament began. The first half was tough, but the team showed great character. We took control of the match in the second half, created numerous chances, and deserved this outcome. I can see the players improving with each game, and this victory will give us tremendous confidence heading into the knockout rounds,” Ancelotti stated.
